A LITTLE BIT ABOUT PANDA:

Panda came into our care after a member of the public reported a mother cat and her four babies stuck up a tree! A rescue operation with the fire brigade and RSPCA Inspectors ensued, and all five kitties were safely rescued, though understandably rather shaken up!

Panda is a sweet girl who loves to be fussed and stroked. She's happy to be near you, and does enjoy human company, but she's not what we'd describe as a cuddly, "lap cat". She is quite a chilled out personality, a "low maintenance" type when it comes to attention, as she's just as happy lying on the windowsill watching the world go by, as she is being fussed over.

She is playful and has a very sweet disposition. She does enjoy feline company, so she will need a friend in her new home, and it would be possible for her to go with a couple of her kittens, as she is very bonded with them even now they are old enough to be separated from her.

Please note that Panda has been diagnosed with a heart condition, sub-aortic stenosis. This does not currently require any medication, but adopters should be aware that this may be necessary in the future, and a local home would be ideal so that she can go back to our vet for future heart scans - for continuity of care, they would be best placed to see whether an extra membrane that has developed around the aortic valve has grown further. We will discuss this further with potential adopters, but Panda will need an ordinary home where she can come and go outdoors, as plenty of exercise is vital for her heart health.
